After School Activities

 After school activities: Brendan O'Sullivan is an accomplished musician and gives music lessons to children in our school from 3pm to 4.30pm on Tuesday evenings. Children are instructed in different groups depending on their age and ability. The pupils learn to play the tin whistle, the violin, guitar and accordian. Many of our school musicians have recently played their musical instruments at the confirmation ceremony, and a growing number of our pupils now play with Banna Ceoil Lispóil.

There is an after school chess club currently in place in our school on Monday and Wednesday evenings. The chess club is divided into a beginners class and an intermediate class. Beginners classes take place from 4pm to 5pm and the intermediate class takes place from 5pm to 6pm. Raymondas Danilovas father of senior infant pupil Ignas conducts the classes. Scoil Bhreac Chluain have a proud tradition in chess competition. They are current reigning county champions and the school have represented the county in all Ireland Finals on numerous occasions over the last 10 years. The county league is due to start after Easter. Good luck to all our participating teams.
