Welcome to Scoil Bhreac Chluain!

Easter Holidays: The school will close 12.30pm this Friday, March 30th for the Easter Holidays and will reopen again on Monday, April 16th @ 9.20am.

First Communion will be held in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Annascaul on the 19th May, 2012 at 11.00am.

Confirmation:Congratulations to all the pupils in 5th and 6th who made their Confirmation last Thursday 8th March. They put a lot of work and effort into the cermony and art work. Well done to all of them. Congratulations also to all children from 3rd and 4th class who were excellent at singing and playing music on the day.

Bookfair/Literacy Week: Scoil Bhreac Chluain recently had a book fair. Thanks to all the pupils and parents and especially to Liz O'Leary and Josephine O'Shea who helped make it a great success. We are able to spend €900 on books for the school. To mark the arrival of the book fair and emphasise the enjoyment and fun in reading we also had a literacy week. This involved activities such as buddy reading system which has gone down very well with all the children young and old. The literacy week continues this week.

Féile na Bealtaine: Scoil Bhreac Chluain has again been invited to participate in the Féile na Bealtaine parade which will take in Dingle on Sunday May 6th at 12 noon. Last year was a great success and we encourage as many children as possible to get involved. The theme this year is Tom Crean and the Antarctic. Our school will be representing a "snowstorm". Next week a local artist, Úna Ní Shé and two Pobal Scoil students will visit the school to help with the artwork. Children will need to wear white or light blue clothing on the day of the parade.

Swimming Classes: Swimming classes for 2nd class will commence on April 20th, 2012 and will continue for six weeks.

Office Hours: Tricia Kennedy our school secretary works on the following days, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9.15am to 3.00pm.
